Lisa Nicolosi and Dana Otterson, both of the San Francisco bay area, have recently established a west coast satellite office of Symbiotix, Inc. They will expand the company’s medical marketing and communications activities and enhance the work currently being performed in New Jersey, Delaware, and corporate headquarters in Danville, KY. According to Symbiotix co-founder and CEO, Tim Rice, opportunities for the company to work on the west coast arose just as he became aware of the availability of these two talented women. “We found both the opportunities and the means to fulfill them at the same time,” said Tim. “It is highly beneficial for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients to have easily accessible staff such as Lisa and Dana. We’ll be able to give each west coast project the personal attention that has become our signature trait. Their task will be to provide service to clients currently employing Symbiotix on the west coast, and to expand the prospects for what I’m certain is going to be a rapidly-growing enterprise.” Lisa Nicolosi joined the Symbiotix team in July of 2007 with five years of biotech and pharmaceutical marketing services experience with companies such as InterMune and CoTherix. She has also been in the events industry for 10 years, five of which were served in hospitality management, sales, and marketing. Lisa is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and has experience in managing projects of all scale. Her primary responsibilities with Symbiotix asAssociate Director, Business Operation and Development, include account management and development for the company’s west coast clientele. Dana Otterson, project manager, has been in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry for five years and brings experience in sales and marketing services as well as drug safety. Dana was hired by Symbiotix in November 2007. Previous experience includes tenure with Zogenix, InterMune, and Genentech. Primary responsibilities consisted of managing all aspects of meeting coordination and logistics, negotiating venue and vendor contracts, organizing all on-site details, and ensuring that program objectives were met on all levels. Dana prides herself on providing consistent communication with clients to build strong relationships and successful meetings. Lisa and Dana have undertaken a search for office space to house the new San Francisco bay area venture, and additional staff is under consideration. President and co-founder of Symbiotix, Jo Ann Rice, expressed satisfaction with the west coast activities, particularly since “this allows us to really provide top-flight service to our clients – something that has been vital to Symbiotix since its inception. We’re proud to be able to say that we are on the spot, wherever our clients’ operations are.” |
